Alexandros Gasparatos coordinated a special session during the first day of the 8th International Conference on Sustainability Science (ICSS2022). The special session focused on how biodiversity can provide solutions for sustainable food systems. This included presentations on the broad interface of biodiversity and food systems, as well as thematic presentations focusing on specific solutions related to seed agro-diversity, neglected and underutilized plants, wild food, and aquaculture.
ICSS2022 was organised by the the Institute for Future Initiatives (IFI), the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), the Stockholm Resilience Centre, the Chinese Academic of Sciences and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (SCBD).
